We are constantly searching for more effective ways to provide our customers the highest quality products and value added service to enhance their drilling programs. We value you as a customer and hope to be your key resource for drilling solutions anywhere you drill and in any formation.

Solar Oceans Services is committed to providing the industry's best value-added services to optimize your drilling efficiency and lower drilling costs.

Services like advance log and rock strength analysis monitor on-site performance and boaster the accuracy of our bit programs. We have the most knowledgeable technical sourcing & sales force operating within a network that stretches into every mature and emerging drilling theater in the world. All this adds up to a company committed to providing state-of-the-art products and services.

RWD2 Ream
It doesn't matter what kind of assembly you're drilling with (rotary, rotary steerable, motor steerable), or your application (vertical, directional, extended reach, through tubing), Solar Oceans Services supplies tool that enables you to drill out cement and float equipment and then drill and ream the remaining interval in one continuous operation.

RWD2 Tool

Designed for straight-hole, rotary applications, the RWD2 tool has, in many cases, reduced by half the costs associated with conventional drilling and reaming techniques.

PDC or Tricone Pilot Bit. Pendulum or packed rotary assemblies. The RWD2 tool allows you to select the combination that will optimize drilling efficiency and dramatically reduce cost per foot.
Configured with a box up, pin down, the RWD2 is typically run up string in 12-1/4" to 22" drill sizes.

RWD2S Tool
In directional wells, RWD2WS technology slashes the costs of underreaming and eliminates the mechanical risks associated with conventional reamers.

RWD2ST Tool
The RWD2ST is a customized one-piece matrix design built specifically for slimhole applications. Its pilot bit/reamer design provides maximum hole clearance, greatly reducing the risk of mechanical failure in tight well bores. Unlike bi-center bits, the RWD2ST incorporates a stabilization pad that offsets cutting forces, greatly reducing vibration and providing a better quality hole.

Bit Modeling
Solar Oceans Services fully integrated CAD/CAM system enables our product manufacturers to quickly put new Tricone and diamond bit designs in the hands of the customers. For example, complete 3-D steel tooth bit designs can be created in hours,

Tricone Bits
Solar Oceans Services has maintained a reputation as the leader in rock bit technology by working with our customers to provide new and innovative solutions to lower their cost of drilling.
Today, our line of rock bits represents our commitment to design tools for specific formations and operating parameters.

Materials Research
Owing to the complex system of moving parts characteristic of roller cone bits, our materials researchers follow a synergistic approach, where each component is evaluated in the context of its relationship to other components in the system.

Product Evaluation Lab
Solar Oceans Services’s emphasis on continuous improvement is reflected in our Bit Evaluation Lab. Here we diagnose product wear and failure modes, not only to determine the causes for the various conditions, but also to identify opportunities for performance enhancing features.

Computational Fluid Dynamics
Computational Fluid Dynamics is a computer analysis resaerch method which can be used to model the mud flow between the bit and the borehole.

Drilling Technology Lab
Many of Solar Oceans Services’s advances in improving penetration rate and fine tuning performance features of Tricone and diamond drill bits are undertaken at our High Pressure Drilling Test Facility.
