Solar Oceans shall comply with the laws and regulations in each country in which we operate.
No real property will be either acquired, transferred or divested without review risk management (Health, safety and environmental), and approval of both corporate legal and HSE departments.
All sites shall maintain a site environmental history file.
All sites shall have written waste management and waste minimization plans and furthermore, shall adhere to the company’s waste minimization policy.
Industrial air and water discharges shall be permitted and monitored as required by local regulations or company “standards of care” if no regulations exist.
All sites where hazardous substances are used or stored shall have a written spill prevention control and counter measure plan.
All storage tanks shall be designed and installed using good engineering practices and inspected regularly.
All storage tanks shall be installed in a contained area.
Storage area for liquid hazardous substances shall be equipped with secondary containment.
All facilities will be inspected by HSE Corporate staff member or their designee at least once every year.
Management accepts responsibility for leadership of the health, safety and environmental program, for its effectiveness and improvement and for providing the safeguards required to ensure safe, environmentally responsible conditions.
Supervisor are responsible for developing proper attitudes towards health, safety and environment in themselves and directing those whom they supervise towards this goal. Supervisors are responsible locally for ensuring that all operations are performed with the utmost regard for the health and safety of personnel and protection of the environment.
All employees are responsible for wholehearted, genuine cooperation with every aspect of the health, safety and environmental program. This includes compliance with all rules and regulations and continuous, safe, environmentally responsible job performance. |
